HOW MUCH DO YOUR SERVICES COST?
I charge clients up to $175. Therapy is not covered by OHIP, but it is covered under most other insurance plans. In addition, I do have a few limited spots for sliding scale fees (lower fee). Please inquire.
WHAT ARE YOUR CURRENT ONLINE/IN PERSON POLICIES?
I offer both virtual and in person therapy sessions. Virtual therapy is just as effective as in person therapy - you can do it in the comfort of your own home and do not need to commute. However, I do understand that there can be privacy issues. I may offer in person sessions dependent on client situation.
HOW DO I KNOW IF WE WOULD BE A GOOD FIT OR IF THERAPY IS WORKING FOR ME?
I offer 15-minute free consults, either over the phone or by Jane video. This will help determine if we would be a good fit/if we would work well together. In addition, to know if therapy is working for you is based on you! You are the driver in the car - you will figure out if you are benefitting or not from therapy services.
WHAT IS THIS "CBT" OR "ACT" TERMINOLOGY?
CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) or ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) are abbreviations of different modalities/techniques/treatments that therapists will use in their practice with clients. I work from a client-centred and eclectic approach in such that I use many different modalities in my work to ensure that each client has a unique therapy space that works for them.
