HOW MUCH DO YOUR SERVICES COST?
My session fee is up to $175 per session. While therapy is not covered by OHIP, it is often covered under extended health benefits or employee insurance plans.
I also reserve a limited number of sliding scale spots (reduced fee) to make therapy more accessible — please reach out to inquire about availability.
DO YOU OFFER IN PERSON SESSIONS?
Yes — I offer both virtual and in-person therapy.
Virtual sessions are just as effective as in-person therapy and can be done from the comfort of your home, without the need to commute. However, I understand that privacy or personal preference may make in-person therapy a better fit.
In-person sessions are available in Centretown, Ottawa, though spots are more limited. I encourage clients to be open to either format depending on their needs and comfort.
HOW DO I KNOW IF WE WOULD BE A GOOD FIT?
Finding the right therapist is essential for meaningful progress. I offer a free 15-minute consultation, either by phone or secure Jane video, to help us determine whether we’d work well together.
The relationship between therapist and client is one of the most important factors in long-term growth. At any point — whether during our consult or years into therapy — if it feels like we’re not the best fit, I’ll gladly provide referrals to trusted colleagues. My priority is your growth and wellbeing, even if that means helping you find the right person for your next step.
WHAT IS THIS "CBT" OR "ACT" TERMINOLOGY?
CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) are evidence-based therapeutic approaches that help people understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours in order to make meaningful change.
I take a client-centred and eclectic approach, drawing from various modalities to tailor therapy to each person’s unique needs. Every modality offers its own insights, and together we’ll find the combination that fits best for you.

HOW LONG ARE SESSIONS?
Sessions are typically 50 minutes long. Many clients start with weekly or biweekly sessions, though we can adjust frequency based on your needs and comfort level. Over time, as you feel more confident, we may space sessions further apart or schedule them however it works best in your schedule.
WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
I accept credit cards through Jane (my secure booking platform) at the time of session. I also accept e-transfers that are expected within 24h of your session time. You’ll receive a receipt you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.
IS ONLINE THERAPY SECURE?
Yes — all virtual sessions are conducted through Jane, a secure, PHIPA-compliant video platform designed for healthcare professionals. Your privacy and confidentiality are always protected.
DO I NEED TO PREPARE BEFORE MY FIRST SESSION?
Not at all! You just need a quiet, private space and an open mind. During our first session, we’ll focus on intake, which is getting to know you, your goals, and what brought you to therapy. There’s no pressure — we go at your pace.

IS THERAPY SHORT TERM OR LONG TERM, DO YOU PROVIDE BOTH?
I offer both. Some clients come for short-term, focused support around a specific concern, while others benefit from longer-term therapy for ongoing personal growth. We’ll discuss what fits best for your goals.
