A career built on my passion for assisting others

Hello, it's a pleasure to meet you!

If you're here, it's likely because you're interested in learning more about me. A few things about myself: I'm always eager to help in any way as my passion lies in supporting others. I find joy in witnessing individuals become their best selves, learn from past challenges, and discover new meaning in their lives. As a flexible and eclectic therapist, I encourage you to take the lead, while I provide support, positivity, and occasional humour, and I'm also willing to challenge you when necessary.

I have a strong focus on working with clients dealing with anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), body-focused repetitive behaviours (BFRP), trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, sleep issues, grief, and intergenerational trauma to name a few. Additionally, I have a particular interest in supporting the BIPOC community, drawing from my own experiences as a visible minority. I also enjoy working with post-secondary students, as I understand the difficulties that come with these formative years. The transition out of post-secondary can be challenging, and I can provide guidance and space to help you navigate this stage of your life.

My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, client-centred, and rooted in biopsychosocial evidence. I am trauma-informed and culturally aware, and I’m open to learning about your unique culture to tailor our work together. I draw from various modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Psychodynamic, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Attachment Theory, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, exposure therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), as I believe each method offers valuable insights.

I hold Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Ottawa and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).

A bit more about me...

At home, I’m thrilled to share my life with Ramsey, my adorable 4-year-old brown Boston Terrier, and Milano, my charming 4.5-year-old rescue tabby cat! You might just see them (or hear Ramsey's snores) if we connect virtually!

I’m absolutely passionate about cooking and all things food, a love that definitely stems from my Vietnamese roots. Call me a foodie! What are some of your favourites? I love bún bò huế , bánh cuốn, sushi, anything with noodles, pizza and my guilty pleasures are hot dogs.

My diverse experience in jewelry, cosmetics, and medical office settings makes me a more relatable and personable therapist!

When it comes to entertainment, I’m all in! I binge-watch Netflix, Disney+, Prime—you name it! I also adore reality TV shows. What do you recommend for my next watch?

Fun fact: I was born and raised in the vibrant city of Ottawa! 😊
