Built on a genuine passion for guiding others toward healing and self-understanding
Hello, it’s a pleasure to meet you!

If you’re here, you’re probably curious to learn more about me and my work. I’ve always been drawn to helping others — it’s a genuine passion that has shaped both my career and who I am. I find joy in witnessing people grow into their best selves, learn from past challenges, and find new meaning in their lives.

As a flexible and eclectic therapist, I believe therapy works best when it’s collaborative. You set the pace and direction, while I offer support, encouragement, and the occasional bit of humour — and I’ll gently challenge you when it’s helpful.

My clinical focus includes working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, self-esteem concerns, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), body-focused repetitive behaviours (BFRB), trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, sleep issues, grief, and intergenerational trauma. I have a particular passion for supporting members of the BIPOC community, informed by my own lived experience as a visible minority. I also enjoy working with post-secondary and graduate students as they navigate the pressures and transitions of these formative years — including the often-overlooked challenges of early adulthood.

My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, client-centred, and grounded in a biopsychosocial framework. I am trauma-informed and culturally aware, and I’m always open to learning about your unique background to ensure our work reflects your lived experience. Depending on your needs, I draw from a variety of modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Psychodynamic Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Attachment Theory, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, Exposure Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Ottawa and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).
A bit more about me...
At home, I’m lucky to share life with my husband and our two loves — Ramsey, my adorable 5-year-old brown Boston Terrier, and Milano, our charming 5½-year-old rescue tabby cat. If we meet virtually, you might catch a glimpse of them (or hear Ramsey’s signature snores or protective barks in the background!).

I’m deeply passionate about cooking and all things food — a love that comes straight from my Vietnamese roots. My mom is truly the best chef I know, and I definitely get my foodie side from her! Some of my favourites include bún bò huế, bánh cuốn, sushi, anything with noodles, and of course, pizza. My guilty pleasure? A good hot dog. What are some of your favourites?

Before becoming a therapist, I gained experience in the jewelry, cosmetics, and medical office fields, which helped shape my ability to connect with people from all walks of life. I also volunteered for over five years at the Royal Ottawa Hospital’s Geriatric Day Program — an experience that deeply influenced my empathy and appreciation for life’s different stages. These experiences remind me that being a therapist doesn’t mean being perfect — it means being human.

Outside of work, I love to unwind with movies, TV, and music. I’m always dancing, laughing, or binge-watching something on Netflix, Disney+, or Prime (and yes, I have a soft spot for reality TV). Got any show or music recommendations? I’m all ears!

Fun fact: I was born and raised right here in Ottawa — a city I’m proud to call home. 😊
